My fellowship aims to contribute to ongoing efforts related to standardisation and European policy, advising on topics related mainly to Robotics and Autonomous Systems and Artificial Intelligence.
With this work, I focus on enabling collaborative ecosystems and models among ICT stakeholders that allow energy saving and a positive environmental and societal footprint, bridging use case workflow and ecosystem design in a way that allows data-driven collaboration and performance increments.
The objective of this fellowship is to include European contributions on viable methodologies on semantic interoperability in ISO standards: ISO SC41 IoT and Digital Twin, with a focus on practical use cases in the domains of health/well-being.
My fellowship contributes to the standardisation on trustworthiness and security of AI generative pre-trained models to establish a robust framework that addresses the escalating concerns surrounding the security risks and privacy implications associated with the development, deployment, and utilisation of these advanced AI models. By integrating ZTA, the project allows for more secure, scalable, and flexible access control mechanisms, which are crucial for the protection of sensitive data and systems against evolving cyber threats.
In the proposed activity the gaps related to standards will be tackled within three working groups (WG) where I am contributing to: IEEE P1872.3, IEEE P1955 and IEEE P1872.1.1, related to multiple robots, reasoning, 6G for robotics and task representation and planning.
Standards for basic quantum infrastructures such as quantum information encryption in future quantum networks can support innovation in quantum technology and accelerate its uptake by European SMEs.
Developing a standard specifically tailored to AI-based network applications in cellular networks would provide a unified framework, promoting consistency, compatibility, and efficient utilisation of resources.
The main challenge is related to addressing 5G security challenges towards Resilience to Attacks in 5G Networks.
IEEE Standards are developed using a time-tested, effective, and trusted process that is easily explained in a six stage lifecycle.
IEEE is the trusted voice for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe.
