Information technology -- Biometric presentation attack detection -- Part 1: Framework

The purpose of ISO/IEC 30107-1 is to provide a foundation for PAD through defining terms and establishing a framework through which presentation attack events can be specified and detected so that they can be categorized, detailed and communicated for subsequent decision making and performance assessment activities. This foundation is intended to not only introduce and frame the topics of presentation attacks and PAD but also to benefit other standards projects. This standard does not advocate a specific standard PAD method. The scope is limited to describing attacks that take place at the sensor during the presentation and collection of biometric characteristics.

The electronic version of this International Standard can be downloaded from the ISO/IEC Information Technology Task Force (ITTF) web site

Security assessment of operational systems

This Technical Report provides guidance and criteria for the security evaluation of operational systems. It provides an extension to the scope of ISO/IEC 15408, by taking into account a number of critical aspects of operational systems not addressed in ISO/IEC 15408 evaluation. The principal extensions that are required address evaluation of the operational environment surrounding the target of evaluation, and the decomposition of complex operational systems into security domains that can be separately evaluated.

Interconnection of information technology equipment

Standardization of microprocessor systems; and of interfaces, protocols, architectures and associated interconnecting media for information technology equipment and networks, generally for commercial and residential environments, to support embedded and distributed computing environments, storage systems, other input/output components, home and building electronic systems including customer premises smart grid applications for electricity, gas, water and heat.

NOTE: This scope includes requirements for components, assemblies and subsystems. However, standardization of cables, waveguides and connectors remains within the relevant product technical committees and subcommittees of IEC. The scope includes the development of network interfaces, in liaison with committees for external utility networks, to support smart grid applications at the customer premises.

  • standardization of interfaces for information technology based applications relating to computer graphics and virtual reality,
  • image processing,
  • environmental data representation,
  • support for Mixed and Augmented Reality (MAR), and
  • interaction with, and visual presentation of, information
