This work item will study multi-tenancy related use cases for NFV to remove the gap between the existing IFA010 general functional requirements on multitenancy management and the missing requirement details regarding NFV elements consumed by different tenants. It will also take into consideration possible relation with Release 3 features like multi-domain NS provisioning, security orchestration. Key issues on multi-tenancy in NFV (e.g. tenant-dependent LCM, tenant dependent resource management, traffic separation, ..) will be identified and analyzed for concluding the recommendations.
To investigate the requirements for the definition of access layer independent protocols between tractor and trailer fulfilling Regulation 2019/1213 needs and study related additional and optional applications.
The scope of the present document is to provide an overview of the IoT standards landscape: requirements, architecture, protocols, tests, etc. to provide the roadmaps of the IoT standards, when they are available
The present document would undertake compilation and review of activities taking place in the area of Smart City. It will analyse the relevance of Smart City applications, and possible underlying network architecture. The present document will describe use case descriptions for Smart City applications in context of but not limited to IoT communications.
This Supplement specifies a proof-of-concept for a service that provides named data such as Internet of Things (IoT) named data by information centric networking in IMT-2020. In the Supplement, an enhanced name resolution system is implemented based on distance-constrained containers to resolve from names to addresses more efficiently.
The F5G Use Cases document ETSI GR F5G 002 has defined many use cases for F5G. To support these use cases, the network architecture will need to be simple, agile, optimized and intelligent. The present document defines the F5G E2E network architecture and related network node requirements, including Customer Premise Network (CPN), Access Network and Aggregation Network. F5G takes SDN/NFV into account for the network's control layer. The F5G architecture will explore new network features like a seamless connection between Optical Transport Network and Access Network, E2E full-stack slicing, etc. The F5G end-to-end management architecture is considered out of scope for the present document. The present document also specifies technical requirements for the network nodes and elements in the architecture. The focus will be on Telecommunication networks in particular.
Virtual Business Gateway. This Technical Report specifies architecture and requirements for the virtual business gateway. The virtual business gateway architecture supports the migration of functionalities running on a business gateway to the network service provider's infrastructure to enable network-based features and services. Such migration is expected to simplify the deployment and management of the network and business services.
This Recommendation specifies the requirements and capabilities of data aware networking (DAN) to realize the use cases and scenarios described in ITU-T Supplement 35 to Recommendation Y.3033, Data aware networking - Scenarios and use cases, which are expected to be major applications/services provided on DAN. One of the objectives reflecting emerging requirements for future networks (FNs) is data awareness as specified in ITU-T Recommendation Y.3001 - Future networks: Objectives and design goals. DAN is expected to have capabilities optimized to handle enormous amount of data and to enable users to access desired data safely, easily, quickly, and accurately, regardless of their location by making information the destination of request delivery. DAN can be rephrased as the networking whose central concern is retrieving information, i.e., information centric networking (ICN).
This Recommendation defines a cloud storage architecture in visual surveillance. Cloud storage enables the service users to have ubiquitous, convenient and on-demand network access to a shared pool of the configurable storage resources, which can be rapidly provisioned and released with the minimal management effort or service-provider interaction. Cloud storage can realize flexible and reliable data storage for large-scale visual surveillance, and its components are modularized and allocated dynamically based on the real usage. This Recommendation provides the architecture, entities, reference points and service control flow for cloud storage in visual surveillance.
* Recognizing the value of obtaining interworking between information created/modified/published via oneM2M or NGSI-LD or other systems, this Work Item will investigate the degree of alignment between several approaches, at the levels of (a) systems (b) information models and ontologies (c) API functionality. The word "interworking" is meant here in a general way and is not meant to restrict the kinds of systems considered.
* The work item will also take into account current research and trial results which may contribute to achieving solutions so that e.g. the oneM2M users have optimal access to published NGSI-LD information sources and vice versa.
* Interworking with widely adopted open source technologies, e.g. Node-Red, Apache Spark or GraphQL will be also under scope.
* Similar activities to the above, regarding W3C, Web of Things, Linked Open Data, and other specifications for open information systems, may be included as additional aspects in this work.
* During the work, intermediate results and discussions will be exchanged with SmartM2M and its SAREF experts, oneM2M, W3C, etc, including holding workshops.
* Technical specifications and changes are out of scope of this Report, but may be recommended for one or more future work items in the form of GS specifications.
