Standards Academy Workshop: Developing leadership capacity for SMEs in European and international standardisation organisations

Meeting Standards is a Small Business Standards initiative that aims to raise awareness among European SMEs and SME organisations about the importance of standardisation and getting involved in the standards writing process. Moreover, the aim is to inform SMEs about the latest developments in standardisation that may be of relevance to them.The campaign will consist of different types of activities organised by standards and SME organisations across Europe. The campaign takes place once a year and lasts one week.

StandICT.eu is joinin the Meeting Standards campaign with a dedicated online Workshop, taking place next 15th November 2023 at 13:00 CET, with the title "Standards Academy Workshop: Developing leadership capacity for SMEs in European and international standardisation organisations".

StandICT.eu’s Standards Academy aims to improve the expertise, knowledge and overall skillset of European standardisation stakeholders. As part of its scope, target group specific training materials and activities are panned out. This workshop, specifically directed at SMEs which are not yet directly involved in standardisation processes, strives to develop their leadership competences to lead working groups and technical committees in European and international standardisation organisations. For this purpose, two experimented Small Business Standards (SBS - the European organisation representing small and medium enterprises in the standardisation system) experts with leadership positions at ISO and CEN-CENELEC levels will conduct the workshop and engage in a direct exchange with the participants. Partners of the StandICT team will further outline the training possibilities and SME-targeted support activities offered by the project consortium.
