NSAI

Standards Body

As Ireland’s official standards body, the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) aims to inspire consumer confidence and create the infrastructure for products and services to be recognised and relied on, all over the world. NSAI is the state agency is responsible for standardisation, conformity assessment and measurement, and was established under the National Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996. NSAI reports to the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

Dave Lewis, Member of the NSAI Mirror Committee on AI, is also a Member of the StandICT.eu's Forum for European Strategy on ICT Standards (FOREST). NSAI Working Group members are also funded through the StandICT.eu Fellowship Programme. StandICT.eu's EAG member Harshvardhan Pandit is a member of the National Standards Authority of Ireland and contributes to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC27 standardisation activities regarding privacy and consent.
