The British Standards Institution (BSI) is the national standards body of the United Kingdom. BSI produces technical standards on a wide range of products and services and also supplies standards certification services for business and personnel.

Panos Kudumakis is Head of UK Delegation of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29 sub-committee on 'Coding of audio, picture, multimedia and hypermedia information' (aka MPEG & JPEG) and Chair of British Standards Institute (BSI) IST/37 national mirror committee (2016). He is also Member of the StandICT.eu's Forum for European Strategy on ICT Standards (FOREST).
