Event Background

This webinar, part of the "Walk and Talk" StandICT.eu 2026 event series will present the findings of the StandICT.eu 2026 Technical Working Group (TWG) on Robotics, which provides an updated analysis of standards for three pivotal robotics applications: guided vehicles, networked systems, and medical robotics. These areas are critical to Europe’s digital and technological transformation, with applications spanning industry, healthcare, and logistics.

Robotics plays a crucial role in achieving the European Union’s goals of innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness. However, the field faces significant standardisation gaps that must be addressed to ensure interoperability, safety, and ethical compliance across sectors. The TWG report highlights these challenges and provides actionable recommendations to align Europe’s robotics standards with its strategic priorities. The report presentation  will indeed pave the way to a broader discussion the current and future state of robotics standardisation.
