For Television Analog Recording — 1-in Type B Helical Scan — Records

This standard specifies the dimensions and location of the video, audio, and tracking-control records and the longitudinal separation of the simultaneously recorded information of the video and audio records, as recorded on 1-in type B helical-scan television tape recordings.

SMPTE ST 16:1998

For Video Recording — 2-in Quadruplex Tape — Video, Audio and Tracking-Control Records

This standard specifies both the locations for the edges of the video, audio, and tracking-control records, and the mechanical separation of the simultaneously recorded information of the video and audio records, as recorded at 15 and 7.5 in/s on 2-in quadruplex video magnetic tape.

SMPTE ST 6:1998

For Motion-Picture Film (16-mm) — Camera Aperture Image and Usage

(1.1) This standard specifies the dimensions of the camera aperture image and its relative position to the reference edge and the perforations of 16-mm motion-picture film. The location of the perforations is based on dimensions given in SMPTE 109. (1.2) This standard also specifies the position of the emulsion and the frame rate for 16-mm motion-picture film perforated one or two edges.

For Video Recording — Quadruplex Recorders Operating at 15 in/s — Audio Level and Multifrequency Test Tape

This standard specifies an audio frequency test tape to be used for adjusting the sensitivity and frequency response of audio 1 record (program audio track) and audio 2 record (cue track) of quadruplex video magnetic tape recorders operating at a tape speed of 15 in/s (381 mm/s).

SMPTE ST 8:1995

For Video Recording — Quadruplex Recorders Operating at 7.5 in/s — Audio Level and Multifrequency Test Tape

This standard specifies an audio frequency test tape to be used for adjusting the sensitivity and frequency response of audio 1 record (program audio track) and audio 2 record (cue track) of quadruplex video magnetic tape recorders operating at a tape speed of 7.5 in/s (190.5 mm/s). The tape shall be used on recorders, operating in accordance with ANSI/SMPTE 3. The operating level and frequency response for audio 2 record are specified in SMPTE RP 102.

Time and Control Code — Amendment 1

The purpose of this amendment is to add support for Progressive video systems with 48 and 48/1.001 Hz frame rates. The techniques described in this amendment follow the same rules used in SMPTE ST 12-1 for Progressive video systems with 50, 60 and 60/1.001 Hz frame rates. — This amendment also updates the normative references to the current versions.
