This activity supports my role as a chair and contributions to IEEE SA IC25-009-01, “A Technical Reference Architecture Framework for an Open 6G Device Ecosystem,” which I chair. It develops a standards-ready reference architecture for trusted device-edge-cloud systems. Engagement with DIN/DKE Working Group 272 provides a European perspective on terminology, governance and interoperability. The work may inform future IEEE study questions or PAR activities, but no approved standard is currently claimed.

Value of Research

Standards development, policy engagement, and implementation evidence through a standards-neutral, technology-agnostic approach. The activities focus on advancing interoperability, trust, accountability and user control across future digital and 6G ecosystems while avoiding preference for specific technologies, platforms or providers.
