The VDE, one of the largest technology organizations in Europe, has stood for innovation and technological progress for more than 130 years. For more than 100 years, the VDE mark has been synonymous with the highest safety standards and consumer protection.

This issue led to the creation of ISO 53800.2024- which expresses guidelines for the promotion and implementation of gender equality and women's empowerment and provides a comprehensive framework to ensure gender equality in all areas. At the same time, several European initiatives have emerged with the aim of promoting inclusiveness in the standardisation process. However, investments must continue to be made to ensure the implementation of these principles.
