Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU) is Berlin's oldest university. With almost 35,000 students, around 500 professorships, more than 2,000 academic staff, numerous cutting-edge research projects and renowned international networks, it is also one of the most important universities in the German-speaking world. Thanks to its location in the political, cultural and media centre of the capital, the HU also fulfils an important function for Germany as a centre of science and research.

Yonsei University, established in 1885 as the first Western institution of learning in Korea, is the leading university located in the heart of Seoul. Today, Yonsei University houses comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs along with extensive research and medical facilities, enrolling over 38,000 students across four campuses.

The University of Belgrade is the oldest and largest university in Serbia. Founded in 1808 as the Belgrade Higher School in revolutionary Serbia, by 1838 it merged with the Kragujevac-based departments into a single university.
