Pisa, 26 July 2021 - StandICT.eu 2023, The European Observatory for ICT Standardisation (EUOS) and Elite-S (Elite Standards) have established a strategic partnership under a Memorandum of Understanding. The aim of the partnership is to establish a reciprocal support in sharing and disseminating both project’s opportunities to a wide range of European Standards specialists and ICT Researchers.

StandICT.eu 2023’s mission is twofold. First, it funds European ICT experts through a series of Open Calls to participate in international Standardisation Developing Organisations Working Groups covering wide-ranging topics as defined in the Rolling Plan for ICT Standardisation (such as 5G and fixed networks, IoT, Cybersecurity, Data, Cloud Computing, Quantum Technologies, AI, Blockchain, Smart Cities, Industry 4.0, and eHealth, etc). The second pillar of StandICT.eu 2023 is represented by the “EUOS – Observatory for ICT Standardisation” an interactive platform that will monitor the global ICT Standardisation landscape, with the key focus to provide the community of ICT experts the most accurate coverage of relevant and timely ICT Standards (you can find here the release of the first Landscape Report on Artificial Intelligence).

ELITE-S (Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Action) is a postdoctoral fellowship programme for intersectoral training, career development and mobility that offers 16 prestigious, two-year fellowships, in technology and standards development to address 5 EU priority areas: 5G, Internet of Things, Cloud computing, Cybersecurity and Data technologies. Experienced researchers of any nationality can enhance their qualifications and diversify their competences by conducting a research project at a host institution in Ireland in any of the research and technology application areas of the programme.
 
StandICT.eu considers this synergy very important since the projects share the common goal to strengthen and facilitate the research activities of European ICT Standards specialists with a view to obtain the ambitious goal of reinforcing the European presence (and standpoint) in the global Standardisation scenario, either in Working Groups or Technical Committees of influential Standards Developing Organisations.
