Intelligent transport systems — Lane keeping assistance systems (LKAS) — Performance requirements and test procedures

ISO 11270:2014 contains the basic control strategy, minimum functionality requirements, basic driver interface elements, minimum requirements for diagnostics and reaction to failure, and performance test procedures for Lane Keeping Assistance Systems (LKAS). LKAS provide support for safe lane keeping operations by drivers and do not perform automatic driving nor prevent possible lane departures. The responsibility for the safe operation of the vehicle always remains with the driver. LKAS is intended to operate on highways and equivalent roads. LKAS consist of means for recognizing the location of the vehicle inside its lane and means for influencing lateral vehicle movement. LKAS should react consistently with the driver expectations with respect to the visible lane markings. The support at roadway sections having temporary or irregular lane markings (such as roadwork zones) is not within the scope of ISO 11270:2014. ISO 11270:2014 is applicable to passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and buses.

ISO/TR 11769:2010 reviews the intelligent transport systems (ITS) landscape and the provisions of data retention (DR) to ITS deployments. In particular, it considers the communications access for land mobiles (CALM) environment and the services offered in the IPv6 domain served by CALM and ITS in general.

Electronic fee collection — Compliance check communication for autonomous systems

This document defines requirements for short-range communication for the purposes of compliance checking in autonomous electronic fee collecting systems. Compliance checking communication (CCC) takes place between a road vehicle's on-board equipment (OBE) and an interrogator (roadside mounted equipment, mobile device or hand-held unit), and serves to establish whether the data that are delivered by the OBE correctly reflect the road usage of the corresponding vehicle according to the rules of the pertinent toll regime.

The operator of the compliance checking interrogator is assumed to be part of the toll charging role as defined in ISO 17573-1. The CCC permits identification of the OBE, vehicle and contract, and verification of whether the driver has fulfilled his obligations and the checking status and performance of the OBE. The CCC reads, but does not write, OBE data.

Intelligent transport systems (ITS) — Guidance protocol via personal ITS station for advisory safety systems — Part 3: Road guidance protocol (RGP) conformance test specification

ISO 13184-3:2017 specifies conformance tests for a self-conformance assessment of the supplier's P-ITS-S system. The conformance test cases follow the use case definition of ISO/TR 13184‑1 and the requirements stated in ISO 13184‑2 based on the Data eXchange Message (DXM) at the application level regarding the safety warning and parking guide services between

- the Vehicle ITS Station (V-ITS-S) installed in the vehicle, or

- a Personal ITS Station (P-ITS-S), e.g. Nomadic Device, in a vehicle or used by a pedestrian, and

- a Roadside ITS Station (R-ITS-S) installed at the roadside.

The primary but not exclusive purpose of this document is to provide information to the P-ITS-S system provider to build and test the P-ITS-S system against the conformance test cases. This final step in the development process of the P-ITS-S system ensures providers that their P-ITS-S system meets a high degree of functional requirements expected by the end user.

Intelligent transport systems (ITS) — Guidance protocol via personal ITS station for advisory safety systems — Part 1: General information and use case definitions

ISO/TR 13184-1:2013 specifies guidance information protocol to provide real-time decision support system to drivers or pedestrians using personal ITS stations:

a) Reference architecture for real-time decision support systems This reference architecture provides a general structure for real-time decision support systems and the method of message exchange between the personal ITS station and the roadside ITS station. This reference architecture is used to build the interconnections between personal ITS stations and roadside ITS stations.

b) Design method of application protocols for light-weighted devices This method is a flexible application protocol for safety warning and parking guidance services. Unlike many other application protocols in the ITS and Telematics domains, this protocol makes the client part independent of use cases for supporting light-weighted devices.

c) Use cases at the road and parking bays for warning and parking guide ISO/TR 13184-1:2013 describes the use cases applicable to the communication services between personal ITS stations and roadside ITS stations for the purposes of providing safety warning and parking guidance.

ISO/IEC 29182-2:2013 is intended to facilitate the development of International Standards in sensor networks. It presents terms and definitions for selected concepts relevant to the field of sensor networks. It establishes a general description of concepts in this field and identifies the relationships among those concepts. It may also be used as guidance for development of other parts of ISO/IEC 29182 and any other sensor network related standard.

ISO/IEC 29182-3:2014 provides Sensor Network Reference Architecture (SNRA) views. ISO/IEC 29182-3:2014 focuses on high-level architecture views which can be further developed by system developers and implementers for specific applications and services.

The purpose of the ISO/IEC 29182 series is to

  • provide guidance to facilitate the design and development of sensor networks,
  • improve interoperability of sensor networks, and
  • make sensor network components plug-and-play, so that it becomes fairly easy to add/remove sensor nodes to/from an existing sensor network.

ISO/IEC 29182-4 presents models for the entities that enable sensor network applications and services according to the Sensor Network Reference Architecture (SNRA).

  • interfaces between entities introduced in the Sensor Network Reference Architecture enabling sensor network services and applications.
