ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) is a European Standards Organization (ESO). It is the recognised regional standards body dealing with telecommunications, broadcasting and other electronic communications networks and services. It has a special role in Europe. This includes supporting European regulations and legislation through the creation of Harmonised European Standards. Only standards developed by the three ESOs (CEN, CENELEC and ETSI) are recognised as European Standards (ENs).
StandICT.eu 2026 has funded fellowships across 12 different standardisation organisations, and this number will expand with the forthcoming funding batches. Beyond, it has also established synergies with 6 different National Standards Bodies.
In addition to funding experts contributing to ETSI Technical Committees and Working Groups, StandICT.eu engaged ETSI in number of other activities, such as:
- StandICT.eu 2026 participation at ETSI AI Conference (5-7 February 2024).
