- ISO TC 307 Convenor WG3 Smart Contracts and its applications
Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies
Smart contracts are a fundamental enabler for developing with other technologies. In particular, the taxonomy and classification of smart contracts will contribute to understanding the scope within the Data Act and avoid confusion with some smart contracts that are not limited to the scope of the Data Act, thereby making it more comprehensive for the Digital Single Market and future strategy. The context of the EUDIC, EBSI, and other advancements for smart communities will gain a clear perspective with the technical specification TS 18126 (Taxonomy and classification for smart contracts). In addition, the Sustainable Development Goals, which many projects of SMEs and other European societies are pursuing, will have guidance on how smart contracts are contributing to achieve the SDGs; this will be a Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 24874 (Guidance on the use of smart contracts in contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)).

Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies
As published the ISO/ TR 25145- Overview of DLT-based collections and collections management its impact si from virtual worlds and new digital markets, the standards also is able to intricate with Metaverse and Citiverse. Although it is a technical, non-normative report, it represents a well-reached consensus overview of DLT-based collections and collections management.
Having in count and overall perspective, standardisation work generates long-term impacts by creating common rules for market trust and lowering trade barriers within the European Union.
In particular, there are two standards in the sense of WG3 in a mature stage which will unlock the value of Smart contracts within the convergence of other technologies based on the taxonomy and the classification for smart contracts, in conjunction with both the Sustainable Development Goals might unlock new business models based on smart contracts, how to create a trustworthy environment for innovation in pursuing the SDGs.

Value of Research
This fellowship supports my role as a convener of ISO TCC307 WG3. The priority is to organise the appropriate ballots and meetings to allow the experts to discuss and reach a consensus based on the comments received for the projects in ISO TC 307 WG3. Another priority is to complete the norms with the attendance list and verify that all experts in the meeting were duly registered in the portal and authorised to participate in the meetings.
